General Terms and Conditions for Groovy Face Entertainment
Hello, Groovers! These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") form the fundamental agreement between you, our valued client, and Groovy Face Entertainment. Please review them thoroughly. Your confirmation of a booking signifies your acceptance of these terms.
Your Agreement
- Upon booking services with Groovy Face Entertainment, you agree to abide by these T&Cs.
- These T&Cs govern all services provided and become effective immediately upon your booking confirmation.
- Any modifications to these T&Cs must be mutually agreed upon in writing.
- This agreement is activated upon your explicit acceptance of these T&Cs, typically by selecting the agreement checkbox during the booking process.
Services & Payments – Let's Get Groovy!
- All pertinent details of your Groovy Face booking – including the specific services, event dates, and locations – will be clearly outlined in your booking confirmation.
- To secure your Groovy Face entertainer and confirm your reservation, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The outstanding balance is due in full three (3) days prior to your event date.
- Payments can be conveniently made via Direct Deposit or PayID.
- Please note that delayed payments may lead to booking cancellation.
- Should you need to reschedule your event, a 20% rescheduling fee will be applied.
- For cash payments on the event day, a 30% deposit is required to reserve your booking. Your email confirmation serves to secure your entertainer. The full remaining balance must be paid in cash at the event, unless alternative arrangements have been mutually agreed upon in writing.
How We Deliver Fun & Your Role
- We are committed to delivering our services with utmost professionalism and skill, ensuring a truly fantastic and memorable experience for your guests.
- It is your responsibility to provide accurate and complete event details, including precise location, accessibility information, event dates, start times, and the estimated number of guests.
- Groovy Face Entertainment shall not be held responsible for any issues arising from inaccurate information provided by the client or from unforeseen venue restrictions.
- We utilise only high-quality, FDA-approved face paints and materials. While we exercise every precaution, we cannot be held liable for allergic reactions or injuries resulting from product use.
- Parents and caregivers are solely responsible for the supervision and safety of children at all times during the event.
- Should unsafe or unruly conditions arise, we reserve the right to cease services immediately without refund.
- In the unforeseen event that a staff member is suddenly ill or unable to attend an event for urgent reasons, Groovy Face Entertainment will exert every reasonable effort to secure a replacement. Should a replacement not be available, we shall not be held liable, and a full 100% refund will be issued within two (2) days of your event date.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Should you need to cancel your booking:
- 14+ days before your event: Full refund less a $50 administration fee.
- 10 days before your event: 50% refund less a $50 administration fee.
- 9 days before your event: 25% refund less a $50 administration fee.
- Within 5 days of your event: No refund will be provided.
- For cash bookings, the same cancellation policy detailed above applies.
- If Groovy Face Entertainment cancels due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe illness, equipment failure), a full refund will be issued, or rescheduling will be offered where feasible.
Photos & Content
- Groovy Face Entertainment retains exclusive ownership of all content and images captured by our team during your event.
- You grant us permission to utilise images and videos from your event for promotional purposes (e.g., on our website or social media), unless you explicitly communicate otherwise in writing beforehand.
Our Responsibility & Yours
- Groovy Face Entertainment shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the provision of our services.
- You agree to indemnify Groovy Face Entertainment against any claims arising from your event.
- We are not responsible for disruptions caused by force majeure events (e.g., extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics).
Other Important Things to Consider
- Travel Fees: A travel surcharge will apply for events located more than 30km from base locations.
- Parking Fees: Any required paid or metered parking at or near your venue will be charged to you.
- Our entertainers possess valid Working with Children Checks and public liability insurance, available upon request.
- Dispute Resolution: For any concerns, direct communication with Groovy Face Entertainment is required in the first instance.
- By booking with us, you agree to maintain respectful communication and refrain from publicly disparaging Groovy Face Entertainment.
- These T&Cs constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Groovy Face Entertainment and are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia**,** and Victoria, Australia.

By proceeding with your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and formally agree to these Terms and Conditions.
